These ancient carvings are a story of flesh and stone. Ancient chisels and gouges shaped these sculpted heads from marble to represent the flesh and its forms in beasts, in men and in their Gods. This is a story of preserving a self, a story, in stone. Unlike flesh, stone can survive for thousands of years.
